Jacques Le Foll
Jacques Le Foll began his career in large retailers at Carrefour and Euromarché. He then moved to the United States to create and develop the Bigg’s hypermarket and shopping mall chain in Cincinnati, which is based on the French hypermarket model.
Upon his return to France, he founded the French subsidiary of Toys “R” Us, which quickly became the number one in toy sales, and of which he was President for 17 years.
The investment fund Cinven then mandated his post as Managing Director and Director of the Photo Europe group. In these roles, he contributed to the company’s profound strategic change as the market shifted towards all-digital.
In 2008, he took over the management of Speedy, France’s leading rapid car repair network, where he executed a management buyout in 2011. In 2018, in the context of new market approaches to mobility and building on his successful turnaround of the company, he sold Speedy to the world’s leading tyre manufacturer, the Japanese company Bridgestone. He remains on the board of directors.
Jacques Le Foll joined Tilder in October 2018 as a senior advisor.
He is a graduate of ESC Lille School of Management: Skema Business School.
