Jean Galve de Rochemonteix
Jean Galve de Rochemonteix joined TILDER in 2016 as the Policy Officer answering to the Chairman. Jean currently holds the positions of Chief of Staff and Manager.
During his years in literary preparatory classes at the Lycée Henri IV he developed a particular passion for the humanities. His multidisciplinary approach and his knowledge of the socio-economic and cultural challenges of contemporary societies form the basis of his keen understanding of public debate and communication issues.
Jean regularly puts his pen at the service of the business leaders he works alongside.
With the equivalent of a double first from the École normale supérieure (one of the most selective and prestigious French grandes écoles), he then joined the Master of Political Sciences programme at the Sciences Po Doctoral School. Specialising in International Relations, he graduated summa cum laude.
Jean initiated the first FERMUN conference, a simulation of UN debates on geopolitical topics. Each year, this brings together hundreds of students from all over the world in a leading international organisation in Geneva.
Today, he brings together his twin passions for writing and international relations as Vice-President of Nemrod-ECDS, a think tank on contemporary defense and security issues in France and abroad, with a particular focus on the African continent.
At Tilder, he shares a deep attachment to Africa and contemporary culture through his commitment to the African Artists for Development teams and the management of partnerships with the “Centre Pompidou Accélérations” Endowment Fund and the “Manège de Chaillot”, the first endowment fund created for a national theatre.
