A graduate of Sciences-Po Paris and the Centre de Formation des Journalistes, Laurent Guimier began his career at Europe 1 as a reporter, political journalist, presenter, columnist and then editor-in-chief of the morning show. He plunged into the digital world in 2006 when he joined the Figaro group to head up the editorial staff of figaro.fr, which in two years became the leading French-language news site. Successively Editorial Director of Europe 1, Managing Director of franceinfo and Director of News at France Télévisions, he has created and developed numerous original formats to combat misinformation, develop digital uses and encourage audience participation in news content. Since 2023, Laurent Guimier has accompanied Rodolphe Saadé in structuring and managing CMA CGM’s media division, which today includes RMC BFM, La Provence, La Tribune and La Tribune Dimanche, Corse Matin and his stakes in Groupe M6 and Brut.
